I know this is a little old news but I just saw it today... Wow that team is going to be in creditable next year. A.Walker, Shaq, J.Williams, Posey, Mourning, D Wade, Simien, Payton, and Haslem all on the team this year. I can not wait until the season starts. I am more excited that the day before Christmas.

They need to add a shrink to that staff to handle all of those head-cases.
Posey/Williams/Walker/Payton...paging Dr.Phil...

Payton has mellowed out since he has gotten older. Walker is not a head case he may be a baby but not a head case. Now Willams and Posey are a couple of head cases but hey which good team in the NBA doesn't have a couple head cases on its team.

That's the same Gary Payton who was bitching and moaning just two years ago b/c he wasn't getting enough shots in the triangle offense. He's still a whiny, self-centered head case. What's he going to do this year when he's the fifth option at best? Agree with you on Walker, but still tempremental.

Hw wont even be the fifth option because he will be coming off the bench. I would be willing to bet that he wont say a lot just because he is going to be happy to be out of Bean town.

With Payton added to the lineup they already have you can just about hand the trophy to 'em now.

With adding Payton and Posey to an already solid bench they are going to be the team to beat next year. GO SHAQ!!!! and GO CATS!!!!

If any former UK player, that is currently in the NBA deserves a shot at a title, it is Antoine Walker. I wish him and the Miami Heat the best.

everyone was saying these things about the lakers acouple of years ago...and they had a better team than the heat...i guess it all depends on the team chemistry...i mean Wade seems to understand his role under Shaq, but can walker...payton.....and with Williams' wild style of passing, im sure it will piss Shaq daddy off, hes not the fastest center in the league you know.

Also you had Kobe and Shaq fighting all year and Kobe and Phil having problems. I think that this team wont have as much of that. Gary I think was humbled by the whole Celtics thing Walker is alittle older now and wiser I hope. J.Williams isn't as flashy as people think he is he will throw a crazy pass once in awhile but he is an NBA player I think he knows who to throw them to and who not to. Shaq may not be he fastest but he is one of the best and he is alot more mobile that you might think especially if that leg heals up.

Gary Payton has a giant salad fork sticking out of his back. He can't guard anyone anymore. Remember how badly Chauncy Billups torched him in the '04 Finals? I don't think Miami adding him is much more significant than their signing Jason Kapono.
