One of the best drivers in NASCAR, has a Cup Championship, a Rookie-of-the-Year award (came up same year as Junior), is one of only 2 drivers to make every Chase and now is a Daytona 500 winner.

Matt ran in the top-5 most of the race today and there isn't a classier guy in the sport.

As far as Junior, he should've been parked after that crap he pulled, took out several good cars. The Fox guys (Waltrip, McReynolds) said he was wrong and "no matter who you are, that was wrong", then, after several breaks, NASCAR must have scolded them, they came back and changed their tunes 180 degrees.

Congrats Matt!!!

I agree about Kenseth. I've always been a big Matt Kenseth fan

As for Junior...AT FIRST...I thought it was his fault and blamed him for the wreck. But after watching it a few more times, I think it was accidental. And I'm not a huge Junior fan or anything...liked his dad a whole lot, though , but not a big Junior fan. I think Vickers was more to blame for that one....swerving low to try to block Junior, just because Junior had a run on the line of cars that he was in.....

I am happy Matt won the race, after starting dead last. He is a classy guy who quietly gets things done. I am a Stewart fan, who had a decent day as well.

As far as little E, don't get me started. He put himself into the position he was in. Not one, but two pit road screwups put him down a lap. He may have have a run on Vickers, but the block was legal. Jr should have backed off and fell back in line after going below the yellow line. Instead he clipped Vickers, ruining the day for several drivers. Of course, because of his name, nothing will happen to him. As far as I'm concerned, he is nothing more than a fair driver who is still riding on Daddy's reputation.

On a side note, it did not bother me in the least to see Jimmie Johnson struggle.

We agree on everything you just said. Like Kenseth, like Stewart, don't like Johnson, not a big fan of Jr. (very neutral) and think he's running on his father's rep. But I will cut him some slack in the wreck. I agree that "because of his name" nothing will happen to him, but I think it was more a case of Vickers dropping down immediately in front of him when Jr. had the much faster car, and a full run on him, than anything Jr. did intentional. That is how NASCAR said they viewed it as well, and why he wans't flagged for it....
