"We always talk about Louisville as 'Little Brother,' but by moving the game it made us look like 'Little Sister,' " he said. "Until we get to the level they've reached, I don't think we should be deciding when the game needs to be played or that it should be moved."

If any UK fan is using the phrase "Little Sister," then he ain't really a UK fan.

Poser Alert.

Anybody who uses the phrase "Little Sister" knows exactly where it comes from. It's too specific to internet lingo. Nobody with any respect for his program would use that phrase; it's like you guys referring to yourselves as "Little Bro." And if this guy is using it, it says to me that he's...um...been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. I.e. browing through the Ville's boards. I.e. been tinkering with the idea of switching over. I.e. not a true Kentucky fan.

It was Paul Petrino scouting the Cats scrimmage whering a blue dress.

The idea that UL's better football program should dictate all things football between the two schools is patently ridiculous. I feel sorry for the poor fan that uttered those words.

Fact is that most of the Lil' Brother comments I have ever heard come from UL fans. Its an inferiority complex that even a final four in basketball and a final 6 in football seemingly cannot cure. Instead of sports talk radio in Louisville, they should bring in Dr. Phil to do city wide counseling of UL fans.

Everyone repeat after me: "I am going to be the best darn UL fan I can be! No more Lil' Bro for me. 'UK' does not have to be every other utterance out of my mouth. My team is good enough and, darn it, so am I. "

I hope you all stay satisfied with the "status quo" a few more years. We will have created a whole generation of young UL fans across the state by then. Even now there are kids who grew up Uk fans playing ball at Ul because they want to be part of a winner.

Right.

UofL has a fine football program. There is no doubt. Solid basketball tradition. Very good basketball coach. I'm not blind to those facts. I can talk smack and keep all those facts in the back of the craw. A lot of this is tongue in cheek anyway.

But when you start talking about the expansion of your fanbase across the state, I have to laugh. The state of Kentucky is blue. Always has been, always will be. Years and eons of winning by UofL won't change that. You all will forevermore be a little urban school and we will always be the state school. You might always be ahead of us in football, you'll NEVER be anything more than formidable in basketball, you might crush us from here on out in wheelchair softball...but you'll never be anything more than a marginal, ho-hum institution because of your average academics and your status as a city university. No amount of winning or puffed-chest smack will change that.

Maybe if your fanbase didn't look down on the state of Kentucky, things would be different. 80% of your fans have no inclination of winning the state; all you care about is Jefferson County. To most of you, the world begins and ends where the Gene Snyder touches Shelby County. Your fear of the "redneck, hick fans" has become such obsessive paranoia that you wouldn't have it any other way.

You better conquer Jefferson county outside the Watterson Expressway, before you even think about conquering the rest of the state. It's one thing to dream big, but it's quite another to have those dreams become overblown. Please let's get real, UofL will never, ever have a state wide following.

Uh, do you read here much? You all got that phrase from a drunken cheater who cleaned up after he left the hell hole that is Lexington. What does that say for your program when a guy becomes a boozer while he's there and then dries up immediately after leaving?

"Daddy, Shawn stoled my gold chain!"

BELCH! "Whaaa? Who the hell are you?"

BELCH! "Whaaa? Who the hell are you?" "the hell hole that is Lexington." Geez what a joke you are. Lexington is a great Kentucky city. Why take it out on Lexington just because UL can't hold the citizens of Jefferson Co.?:?
