On the coaching front, it appears that Anthony Grant, associate head coach at the University of Florida, remains in the forefront of the search for a replacement for Jeff Capel, who left last week to become coach at the University of Oklahoma.
Indications are that Grant could take the job, but Florida reportedly is going to make every effort to keep him as part of coach Billy Donovan's NCAA championship staff.
Others who are considered to be possibilities include David Hobbs, associate head coach at the University of Kentucky and a former VCU assistant, Lehigh coach Billy Taylor, and Mark Cline, who was an assistant under Capel at VCU for three years.
