This one puzzles me to no end. If true, we essentially just signed three guards and will sign Wright. Three guards and one forward to an already guard heavy team. When these guys are freshmen, Woo/Shag/Thomas/Perry/Sims all leave, if some (Woo/Shag) haven't left already. Puzzling, but awesome to get two guards of their caliber.

Ravi, Sparks and possibly Rondo will be gone too. All guards.

I agree with Frank here. Why are we going after Meeks. We just sighned Jasper. I think are heads should be turned towrds Thompson.

But we are in GREAT with the guards for next year. Hold off, sign a guaranteed big this year. Balance it out I guess. Again, I'm just playing devil's advocate and love the way Tubby recruits. He asks me my opinion all the time ;)
Where o where has Perry Stevenson gone!?

Like we were talking, people have forgot about him. Right now theres so much attention towrds Brandon and Derrick, that there really hasn't been a lot of discussion about Perry. I would absoluteley love a commitment out of Stevonsons. If I was Tubby, I would just see who commits first, Thompson or Perry.
Which one is it goin to be Frank. Are u buying or selling Thompson, or Perry.

Thompson

Just over a week ago, there was alot of buzz on Stevenson and his name has practically fell off the face of the Big Blue Nation lately. Not sure what happened there. Recruiting.. can leave you scratching your head alot of times. :?

Does Jasper's Cali connections expedite the Thompson signing?

I predict Thompson stays west and west. If we get 2 big guys, it will be Wright and Stevenson. If true, we need to feed them lots of milkshakes., but there is tons of talent.

Stockton is a scholly guard that will graduate this year, as well.
EDIT: re-read your post and realize that BS is Brandon. LOL ;)

Because Tubby is trying for 5.
Porter
Jasper
then
Meeks
Wright
Young/Thompson/Stevenson/
That is looking like the plan.

I didn't include Ravi in my assessment. We will lose at least 4 guys this year. More than likely 5.

I'm not sure you can say "more likely" because who really knows what Rondo, Morris or any of the others might do. Far too early, IMO.

OK.
Then.
Well. Lets see. Let see if we can play a game.
A school can only have 13 scholarships.
We are full this year.
We have 2 graduating scholarship seniors. Patrick Sparks and Brandon Stockton.
Tubby is going to sign at least 4 players. Now. If you put 4 and 2 together from13 -2. It doesnt add up.
And look at this way. that is the Strict logic.
here is the HEAVILY INFERRED LOGIC. Morris tried to go pro and waited through the draft before he returned. If you think he really wants to stay here you are mistaken.
Rondo. in some early mock drafts is as high as 3. Most have him in the 8-12 range. Still lottery. Still a lot of money to pass up.
Otherwise the scenario is VERY unclear and would involve some not getting schollies renewed which would be a black eye to recruits. They might say he doesnt khonor his kids by letting them stay. If that is true then Tubby isnt a good man. We all know he is. So do you think that will happen.
Another one , which some of you STILL want to discredit is that for some unknown reason Shagari IS ON THEM in the late first round. NBA teams that are there are solid. They would take a chance on 7'4" and if he develops fine. IF not, one year isnt going to hurt a Detroit or San Antonio or Dallas to takehim. A team like the Clippers would not.

I think we will find this year that Tubby likes a three guard offense, if he can get solid paing play and rebounding. Just a hunch.

I don't understand why everyone is saying Morris is gone...If anything, this whole fiasco hurt his stock...The NBA won't even consider him and he would have went the NBDL route if he really wanted to this year.

It really hasnt hurt his stock, they know his abilities... and knew he needed more work.
Morris is now his own free agent. He can do what he needs to do.
He will do that. If he cant lock onto NBA he will be in the NBDL but he will only be at UK for one more year... The recruiting that Tubby is doing is plenty of enough evidence for that.

Don't be surprised if this is Woo's last year. I do not know where he is in his studies, but it would not surprise me to see him sign with some European team, if he cannot make an NBA team. Also, it would appear that Tubby is going to let him face the basket more this year. If that is the case, he may have a surprising year (or may not). Either way, he could be one of the kids that Tubby cannot say with certainty will be back next season.
And, who knew that KA would go pro this year?

CC, i don't know much so correct me if i'm wrong. i see some are saying we should take the first who commits between perry s. and thompson. imo, that would be dumber than bringing in another guard. you are confident we get wright correct? if that's the case why sign wright and perry. aren't they very similar players. long, lean, athletic 4's???? why take two kids cut from the same mold. imo, if we don't get thompson take meeks. maybe tubby knows thompson is a stretch now???? i like meeks a lot. i would prefer two bigs if they were wright/thompson or another BANGER. i don't think a class of wright/perry s. serves much purpose.....if we are going to sign two bigs i think we need a wide body a la thompson.

Jasper is a point guard, Meeks is a shooting guard but he can play point just like Ramel Bradley, we are going after him because Sparks, Moss, and possibly Rondo so I think its good that we are going after Meeks. IMO

The Meeks thing isnt over... he still likes Bama.
I think he is supposed to vist there 10/8 or so.
Whether or not Meeks comes, Tubby is still after Thompson.
Wright will be here (I dont know how much clearer I need to be about that). and Tubby wants Thompson. If he doesnt get Thompson and gets Meeks he may pass on Perry.
The unsung person here is Thad Young. He was just there yesterday... meeting with Thad and his entourage. THAT one isnt over yet EITHER.
