Out of everybody in the Kentucky class Sanford might have the highest upside. He is a 6’3” point guard with a high motor, great athletic ability and a clutch jump shooter. Played sparingly during the AAU season.

If he wants to play big-time college ball, he needs to drastically improve his defensive effort and stop being so selfish on offense. I've seen him play a few times over the last couple of years and I can't count how many times Catholic pressed full court and it was four defending five because he was loafing. I would go as far as to say Catholic probably could have won 4-5 more games if he'd put forth more effort and didn't try to be all the offense so much. He does have a lot of upside, but he needs to work harder and act like he wants to improve.

I saw him in the state tournament last night against Holmes and he really didn't look that good. It may have just been a bad night for him but I didn't think he looked like a top level prospect. In all fairness it's hard to judge on one game but he certainly didn't look that impressive.

The UCF men's basketball team is poised to sign their best recruiting class ever, but they aren't quite done yet. The Knights are in search of one more player to bring into the fold and one of Kirk Speraw's assistants recently made a trip to Kentucky to check in with one of the country's top unsigned guards.

I went to the Sweet Sixteen two years ago and watched him guard Hopson a couple of times. Wasn't too bad and had the same speed any D-1 athlete possesses. The thing I found interesting is that every time he got the ball Catholic fans would scream at him to pass it haha.
