Thanks for the link, BALou. It's a good read. Too, I hope some of his assistants join him here at Kentucky, particularly Josh Pastner as a recruiter. :)

Hi poodoo,
I've been reading some UA news sites and a small percentage of UA fans are so discouraged over their HC search that they want to bring Josh back as HC, there's a larger percentage that wants the UA AD Livengood to bring back Josh as an associate coach to whoever they hire as HC (since it seems it will be someone totally unfamiliar with UA), and there is an even larger percentage of fans who really don't like Josh. Even though Josh has a reputation for being a great recruiter there seem to be a number of UA fans that didn't like who he recruited at UA, and didn't think that he coached the big UA guys well at all. :shrug1:

I think UK (and I) would be estatic to have him stay with Coach Cal.

Frankly, I think it would be great to keep all of Coach Cal's assistants, but the domino effect to the HC jobs seems to have also affected the assistant coaches as well as the recruits. :shrug1:

Pastner was instrumental in recruiting shooting guard Xavier Henry, power forward DeMarcus Cousins and shooting guard Nolan Dennis — all of whom are ranked in the top-50 players in the country. QUOTE from link
**************

I've twice read here today that Pastner has been named the Memphis coach. :icon_sad: I think we may see here why Pastner may have been especially appealing to the Memphis athletic director, particularly after the top recruits had decomitted from Memphis after Calipari's departure. It will be interesting to see what happens with those recruits now. :shrug1:

P.S. I'm now hearing that Pastner has NOT been named the coach at Memphis. So I'm assuming the earlier report was not correct. ??????

Comments from memphis fans in the Commercial Appeal say that Cal brought his entire staff, even his secretary.
