LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Derrick Jasper, one of the nation's top point guards, committed to the University of Kentucky's basketball team Thursday, the same day another highly rated guard arrived in Lexington for an official visit.

Jodie Meeks, a 6-foot-4 point and shooting guard, will be on campus through tomorrow and could decide in the coming week between the Wildcats, Florida and Alabama, his father said.

Now Wait a minute here.... Is this just CJ bias or are we really needing to make up ground with meeks.. This is in complete contrast with what his father has been saying for the last week, what gives ?

That was Telep who said it, not the CJ reporter and I think he's referring to how the 'bama coach had been to alot of his games and practices in efforts to land this kid.

Besides the fact, this is in complete contrast with the vibes his father has been given off.. Making up ground is a long way from committing on your weekend visit.. Who is telling the truth.

Judging from Meek's father, all it took was a phone call from Tubby.

I like it see recruits that are excited to come to Kentucky.

He wanted to hear from a top notch school.

The four he mentioned were UNC, Duke, UConn and UK.

We moved first and showed the most interest.

This has to be very disheartening for Alabama and Florida.
