I'm on vacation next week (not that it has any particular bearing on the question.....just thought I would rub it in......:P), and was thinking about catching a Bats game Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Both days' games are at 7:15 against Columbus. They have promotions both nights, as well. Monday you get $2 off Field Reserve seats by redeeming a Meijer receipt at the ticket office. Tuesday is $1 hot dog and $1 soft drink night. (Nothing about beer, though.....dagnabbit!)

I've only been once, back when the place first opened. I'd like to catch a couple this year. Since I'm off, (did I mention I was on vacation???), I'm thinking about going downtown early, and maybe hitting the Chow Wagon before.

Anyone? Cathy, feel like eatinga fried balogna sandwich and catchingsome baseball? ;)

It would be pretty tough for me to make any game next week due to work, busy, busy week. Oh and by the way I hope it rains all next week.:>

Bite me, dude. (Well, not really.....gaaaack!!!!.....)

Either way, we hookin' up for lunch next week? Good idea this past Sunday, though. I may try it again this week. I didn't die, wasn't carjacked, didn't get mugged, or get run over by a train......and, SCOREBOARD!!!.......didn't get sick from the food......:>*

PM me about Sunday (Talladega), or give me a shout. I have to play darts tomorrow night, but that's it.

(*-See, you never let an opening go.....but I can give as good as I get.......:ggrin:)

I enjoyed Sunday so much that when my boss asked me where I wanted to go for Secretary's Day I said "Ash Street Station". No fancy hoidy-toidy place for me. I'll be lunching there tomorrow. It was too busy today. Its his kind of place too. Thanks Dennis for the suggestion.

Jon....don't know about Tuesday. It isn't looking real good, but who knows.

No problem Cathy. I have known the cook/owner of Ash Street Station for about 11 years. The food is good and the price is right. Now if we can get him to take those ugly red tablecloths off, we'd be set. I hope your lunch went well today. Did you try the "insideout burger"?

DenCat....No inside out burger today. I would have to split it with someone. My boss' MD put him on a diet. He is pre-diabetic and trying to keep from taking meds from it. I'll go with Mark sometime when we can split one and have a brew or 2 while waiting :)

Food was good today and my boss loved it. I have put menus around the office. The owner told me someone had called. I plan to go there whenever I can. I'm with you on getting rid of the red table cloths.
