For people who like to go back and search through the history of college basketball, I recently ran across a site which is awesome.
It's basically a subsection of NewspaperArchive, which is a service which scans microfilm from small newspapers around the country.
You can join Newspaper Archive to gain access to all content, but they are providing a subset which is focused on college basketball where most of the pages are freely available.
Here's the home page,
http://www.collegebasketballarchive.com/
Here's a page you can use to search
http://www.collegebasketballarchive.com/AdvancedSearch.aspx
FWIW, if you put in a search, it doesn't search by article, but instead searches the entire page. So in some cases if you type in multiple keywords, it may pull up pages where one keyword is in one article while another shows up somewhere else.
Also, because a lot of time sports pages are not just devoted to college basketball, there's other topics you can find, including pro basketball etc.
