Great get, in my opinion. Isn't it nice to beat out Penn State for a player?

No Stars? I guess they haven't evaluated him yet because with that list of offers you have to imagine that he is a huge talent. Anyway looks like a great pick up!

*'s or no *'s, his offer list included PSU/MD/A&M/MI St/CO/V - widespread and good programs. How often do we land guys like that? Very seldom in days gone by. When all's done, I judge he'll be a solid 3*. The recruiting services are still in the early days of their evaluations (which is of some but not all value) both in number of players they've taken good looks at and the quality of their placements.
Is this the start of a new (CFB) world order?

Anybody got some good info on the young man? Thanks.
As a junior at Bamberg-Ehrhardt, Henderson recorded 65 tackles and 10 sacks. He's also strong in the classroom, sporting a 3.1 GPA.
He bench presses 320 pounds, squats 405 and power cleans 265. He also sports a 31-inch vertical and has an impressive 6-foot-9 wingspan that indicates he could still be growing.

just curious, but how does having a 6-9 wingspan lead to him still growing?

Typically wingspan & height are about equal. Recall that human drawing they sent on the first satellite to leave the solar system that had the "wings" spread & a circle around those & the height?

add the height, wingspan and vertical, looks like he can block any pass or kick that is under 12'.

Looks like a beast!!!
Great pickup by the staff to beat out ole' Joe and his Nittany Lions. I am a little surprised that our first was from out-of state.

This is awesome. I think this kid could turn into a beast.
He certainly looks the part. He will hopefully be the first of many that we win over the big schools...:icon_mrgreen:

Very nice pick up for the Big Blue!
I like his 40 time and verticle. Plus, having long arms will hopefully allow him to push the OL before they can get their hands on him. Listening to a Pro call in show on Sirius this past weekend and they stressed how it is so important for an OL player to have long arms so they can get them on the DL player first. Thought that was interesting and hopefully this will allow Mr. Henderson, due to his wing span, allows him to play to his advantage.
I was kinda shocked that our first verbal was from out of state too. But hey, if a kid can play and our staff wants them, don't care where they come from. Just glad he wants to be in Lexington and can't wait to see him in Commonwealth.
Great to know he is a student-athlete also. I am very proud of our success in the classroom from our whole athletic department. Testiment to the coaches and CATS administration.
Nice job to the coaching staff for this commitment.

that wingspan means he will be knocking down some throws from the QB as he pushes his way into the pocket.
