Hey Officials and Coaches ... Need Any Rule Changes

I was just curious if any of our officials or coaches that frequent this website think there should be any rule changes in college basketball? I've a few opinions, but not from the vantage point of an official or coach.

I don't think any changes are necessary, although there will some. It's too early to know for sure, but the arc under the basket could be adopted, and the 3pt line could be moved back to the international distance. It was scratched last year because the schools complained about not having the time or the money to repaint their floors.

If they just put more emphasis on carrying the ball and walking, it would be a much better game. I will post any changes as soon as I know they are official.

So far the NCAA has approved 1 rule change for football and basketball.

In football, a coach can challenge one ruling per game and have it reviewed, as long as he has a time-out left. If he loses the challenge, he gets a time-out.

In basketball, a player can no longer call a time-out while falling out of bounds.
