Kentucky first baseman Ryan Strieby has been named to the watch list for the Dick Howser Trophy, which is awarded by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce to the top collegiate baseball player.

Strieby leads the 13th-ranked Wildcats in homers (12), doubles (18), RBI (55), slugging (.700) and on-base percentage (.481).

Wow! It's hard to imagine batting .700 in colege baseball. I couldn't even do that in intramural softball---slow pitch too.
