LEXINGTON – The 13th-ranked Kentucky baseball team puts first-place in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division on the line this weekend when its travels to No. 21 Vanderbilt for a three-game series beginning Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
The series resumes Saturday at 4 p.m. ET and concludes on Sunday at 2 p.m. All three games of the series will be broadcast on WXRA 1580-AM in the Lexington area. Game two of the series is the SEC Game of the Week and can be seen on FSN.
The 21st-ranked Commodores enter with a 26-16 overall record and a 10-5 league mark, which is one game back of UK in the SEC Eastern Division. The Wildcats are 32-10 overall and have matched their best start in school history.
Senior southpaw Aaron Tennyson (4-1, 3.30) gets the nod for UK on Friday night against four-time SEC Pitcher of the Week David Price (5-3, 3.14). Kentucky sends senior Craig Snipp (4-3, 3.03) to the hill against either Matt Buschmann or Ty Davis, both right-handers.
The series wraps up as Roger Clemens Award candidate Greg Dombrowski (7-1, 2.25) starts for the Wildcats against lefty Cody Crowell (4-1, 2.80).

• Strieby was named to the Dick Howser Trophy watch list. The award is given to the National Player of the Year.
• Center fielder Antone DeJesus has been the best leadoff hitter in the SEC this year. He has posted a .467 on-base percentage, which is tops in the SEC among leadoff men and fifth overall. That has translated into him scoring a league-high 48 runs.
