In case anyone missed it last week, Lee Huber passed away last week in Florida. He was one of Rupp's All-Americans from the late 30's / early 40's. He played guard and was from Louisville (note that at least up to the late 1930's, UK had quite a number of good players come from the city. That pipeline seemed to dry up later on.) He was also an excellent tennis player, being the best player in the state.

In a bit of trivia, after Huber left UK, he entered the armed services and was on a Great Lakes Naval Air Station team which faced Kentucky in the early 1940's. He also played some professional basketball, but prior to the formation of the NBA.
