LEXINGTON – The Kentucky baseball team went on the road this past weekend, took two of three from No. 21 Vanderbilt and has been rewarded by climbing two spots to No. 11 in the latest Baseball America poll, it was announced Monday.
The Wildcats are one of the hottest teams in the nation, having jumped 10 places in the national rankings over the past two weeks while compiling a 9-1 record in that span.
The series victory over the Commodores pushed UK’s overall record to 34-11 and helped the team hold onto a tie for first place in the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division at 13-8. The Wildcats have the best overall winning percentage in the SEC.
