There are 50 listed. The ones that may be of interest to some people here are

1. Nashville, TN

5. Austin, TX

7. Asheville, NC

13. Lexington, KY

14. Indianapolis, IN

These towns were listed as vibrant, fun, and affordable.

I can vouch for Nashville and Austin. Austin is a great place!

Interesting. We almost decided to move to Nashville a couple of years ago. We were living in Birmingham, AL at the time, and Nashville was both closer to home (western Ky) and just a cool place.

As for Lexington, I lived there for 3 years, and would go back as soon as I got the chance.

Indianapolis surprises me. I've been there a few times, seen a few Colts games and the UK/IU debacle this past season. Seemed like a decent place, but I had never wanted to live there. (great restaurant, though, right down from the dome...St. Elmo's...BEST shrimp coctail ever!)

Interesting list. I'm surprised Marion, KY isn't on it. A hidden gem, I tell ya!
