We're going way back for this week's UK football history lesson. In 1910 on October 8th, the UK football team beat North Carolina, 11-0. Under second year coach, E.R. Sweetland, the Cats forged a 7-2 record.
The Wildcats were beginning to branch out past the borders of Kentucky to play distant competition. UK put away their first seven opponents including Ohio University, Maryville College, North Carolina, Kentucky Wesleyan, Georgetown, Tulane, and Tennessee in Knoxville.
Then the Cats tripped up in their last two games against Saint Louis and Centre College to finish 7-2.
