Mitch needs to work over this guys contract and get him here for a few years more. I have a feeling if a good deal isn't put together, we are going to have LSU, Florida, Miss St, etc come knocking on the door wanting this guy.

Just to say again.... we NEEEEEED to lock this man up and give him a raise. There are gonna be some big name teams looking for coaches after this year.

He definately deserves a jump in pay and a longer stay in Lexington. I think MB will do just that.

Talked to some Miss. St. fans at the game this weekend that normally travel with the baseball team. They say that Cohen is their guy and he will be back in Starkville.

Come on Mitch, Lock down Cohen with a new longterm contract.):)

Do you know how much cohen is getting? And how it compares to other coaches in the league and in the country? I don't but I think we need to see that before we start assuming Mitch is dropping the ball on this. Also can't Mitch ever catch a break? He is already being blamed for losing someone we haven't lost yet.

If Cohen wants to go back to Miss State, he will. All of the money in the world won't stop him. Now, that doesn't mean we don't want to build a first-class operation here. But no contract is sacred anymore.

I am not accusing MB of dropping the ball on anything. I just think to take a program that has been near the bottom of the league and turning it into a top ten program in 3 years deserves a pay raise. I don't know the details of his current contract, but I am sure there are incentives built in.There are undoubtedly schools out there that are going to contact Cohen. I think UK would be best served by doing everything in it's power to keep him.

I have not seen anyone blame Mitch for losing Cohen. As a matter of fact I have seen several posts giving Mitch credit for the hiring of Cohen. The point is that alot of people will really come down on Mitch if he were to make no effort tokeep Cohen from other NCAA schools. Cohen is one of Mitch's most popular successes, he needs to keep it that way!
