Biography:
2008: Johnson helped Buford to their second consecutive 15-0 season and AA State championship. He ran for more than 1,300 yards and 23 touchdowns while sharing the load in the backfield and coming out of the game early many times because of a lopsided score. He also had two kicks returned for touchdowns. All-Area First Team as a junior. He says he can bench 380-pounds, squat 510 and has a 35-inch vertical jump.

Johnson plans on majoring in education and reports a 3.0 core GPA and has a 20 ACT.

Johnson:: “I have great balance. I’m very elusive and I have great speed and vision. I’m a pretty balanced back.

“I want to work on staying low through the hole. And I want to make sure I finish all my runs.”

I am reading elsewhere that we are in his final four schools along with LSU, and FSU and another.

Apparently, he and his father drove to Red Stick to accept an offer, there, some time back, only to have Les Miles pull the offer. Either LSU is full at the position, or they want to wait on what they consider to be a bigger catch.

In a year or two, Johnson might provide the Storm for Newton and Mossakowski's lightning!!

Asked about his recruiting process this week, Storm Johnson quickly rattles off the names of several schools.
“I’ve got a strong five right now,” the Loganville tailback said. “West Virginia, Florida State, Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State.”
After a brief pause, he adds another. “Oh, and also Kentucky.”
Notably absence from that list is the team to which Johnson committed in late June (http://blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2009/07/01/johnson-from-buford-to-loganville-to-lsu/) — LSU.
Of the Tigers he says, “Right now they’re still on there but only as a backup.” He doesn’t sound very convincing.

I would love to see him playing for the Cats. I can hear it now. Storm Johnson thunders through the defense for a first down!

The state of Georgia is well represented on the roster for the 2010 Under Armour/ESPN High School All-American Game, which will be played January 2 in Orlando.
Currently there are 11 Georgians among the 79 slated to play in the annual all-star contest, which is gradually turning into the preeminent event of its kind. The U.S. Army All-American contest is often played on the same weekend but will be played instead on Jan. 9 in San Antonio this time around.

Loganville running back Storm Johnson is the only Georgian who currently remains undecided about his college choice. Johnson visited West Virginia this past weekend.
As always, the roster is subject to change between now and New Years.

Loganville’s Storm Johnson, one of the top uncommitted backs in the state, had 230 yards rushing and four touchdowns Friday night. Another 82-yard TD run was called back. Johnson, a one-time LSU commitment, did not visit West Virginia as planned and is currently trying to arrange a Penn State visit.

Pretty sure he is just using us to try to drum up "better offers".

Hope I am wrong , but I do not see him signing with the CATS!!

Doesn't sound too good.:icon_sad:

As for his trip to Lexington for Kentucky’s win over Louisville, Johnson said in a text message only, “it was OK.”

Some other standout performances from the area’s top prospects this past weekend:

RB Storm Johnson, Loganville: One of the state’s top uncommitted tailbacks, Johnson ran for 216 yards and three TDs in a 34-25 win over Monroe Area.
