Scout.com Player Evaluation:
STRENGTHS- Body Control, Downfield Threat, Route-Running Skills
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT- Hands and Concentration, Strength

Ambles is the complete package at wide receiver. At 6-2, 190 pounds, he has the size to dominate the smaller corners. He also runs crisp routes and gets in and out of his breaks very well. At times he will lose focus and drop the easy pass while he makes all the impossible catches look easy. Ambles can be that underneath, over the middle, or deep threat on the next level. He is that talented. - Chad Simmons - South Region Analyst

Biography:
Markeith Ambles finished his junior season with 53 receptions for 993 yards and 13 touchdowns. He returned a kick-off for a touchdown and also returned two punts for touchdowns. He says he can bench 235-pounds, squat 350 and claims a 37-inch vertical jump.

Ambles plans to major in accounting and reports a 2.9 core GPA and an 18 ACT.

Ambles: “I can catch the deep ball. I can also go across the middle. I pretty much do it all at receiver. I’m very versatile.

“I really want to get faster and improve my routes. I’m still learning the game and getting better at everything.”

We weren't even in the mix on this kid, and something doesn't seem quite right. Here's what RollBamaRoll has to say....

"Markeith Ambles (http://alabama.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=82992&sport=1) committed to Tennessee a couple of days ago, finally ending his very mysterious recruitment. Alabama was on his radar screen at one point, but according to Andrew Bone we backed off of him. USC pulled their offer, and the same goes for the Under-Armour All-American Game as well. Florida was his leader, and he did attend their Friday Night Lights camp last week, where many thought he would commit to Florida, but a few days later he ended up at Tennessee. The general speculation is that the Gators would not take his commitment, and as a result he ended up going to Knoxville, which sounds about right to me. I'll be honest, I'm glad we steered clear of him. He clearly has elite talent, no doubt there, but by the same token there is clearly more going on here than we know about."

Maybe Brooks and Joker did the same.

You are delusional if you think Joker and Brooks would back off Ambles. There is only one school that pulled his offer and that was USC because Ambles and his former coach had a sexual relationship and he was viewed as a problem. Florida and Alabama both wanted him.
