Hope you didn't shed too many tears leaving your gorgeous boy! Get your Kleenex box and a cup of tea and tell us all about it! :)

Thanks for asking! The hardest adjustment has been to not sharing all day long with him. I only get to see him for about 3 hours before he goes to bed which is a huge adjustment from almost 5 months of almost every waking moment. This weekend we were insanely busy with a wedding rehearsal and ceremony with lots of traveling between cities. I felt like I hardly saw him and its already time to start the week over again.

It helps to know that he absolutely loves daycare. He loves being around the other children and in just the dozen or so times he's been so far I can already see that he's learned new things. Every time I've walked in I hear him babbling and playing so that makes me feel better.

WC Chick. To me that is 3/4 of the battle won when you find a daycare you are happy with and the child too is happy. Makes the long separation tolerable. Good for you!

I definitely agree Cathy. This daycare was a perfect fit for us. I work in 3 different locations and it is no more than 5 minutes in heavy, heavy traffic from any of them. The staff really adores him and he lights up when he gets there in the mornings. He loves all of the activity and the decorations everywhere.

Luckily I saw my youngest brother (6-years old now) and my nephew (3-years old) go through good daycares and I saw how they advanced due to this experience. That made me feel more positively about having DS in daycare. Regardless its still hard adjusting to not being with him every minute of every day.
