Just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for all-inclusive hotels or travel packages - particularly anywhere in the Caribbean, Mexico, etc.

We went to Cancun on Vacation Express a few years ago and stayed at the Cancun Palace.....wonderful resort....very nice....everything is included, plus if you stay at a Palace property, you have priveliges at the other ones there....you can eat, drink, swim, etc. at any of those hotels in the area.....that was pretty neat.

We did the same (above) and loved it! Also, went back 2 years ago to Playa de Carmen (about 35 minute south of Cancun) and it was wonderful! They truly cater to you!

Jamaica has some good inclusive packages. Best areas to stay are Ocho Rios, just outside of Mo Bay, Negril or the Bloody Bay area. Couples, Grand Lido, Riu have excellent packages.

Stayed at Playa de Carmen at http://www.riu.com/en-us/Paises/mexico/playa-del-carmen/hotel-riu-palace-riviera-maya/index.jsp#seccion

Excellent.

I did an All Inclusive at Costa Rica and loved it there as well. As the resort gets a better rating, more food and beverage options may be available.

.........and like UKcat said, Vacation Express is a good place to start looking. Many of my friends have used them and they had a great experience.

Went to Jamaica 2 yrs ago and stayed at an all inclusive in Trelawny. The all inclusive is the way to go. Have been to the Bahamas and Cancun without the all inclusive and it was fine, but better as all inclusive.

I will definitely check this out. Thanks everyone for the tips! I've done the same exact thing every Thanksgiving for 30 years, thinking about using the long weekend for a little Caribbean getaway this year.
