Helicopter crash in Colorado (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32495332/ns/local_news-lexington_ky/)
All from Ft. Campbell and all SpecOps, with a Ft. Bragg spokesman = these guys were probably part of Task Force 160 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/160th_Special_Operations_Aviation_Regiment_(United _States)), aka "the Nightstalkers". Training south of Denver, in the Rockies perhaps? Training for operations in those mountainous regions of Afghanistan/Pakistan perhaps?
As an 18-year-old PFC, I pulled guard duty out on the airfield where their hangars were located on several occasions. As far as guard detail goes, it was the real deal, 'cause those guys don't mess around, and they've got some classified stuff going on out there.
RIP, fellas.
KD
sidenote: my unit was the HQ Company of the 101st AVN BDE, so all those batallions mentioned in the wikipedia piece (158th, 159th, 229th) were part of our brigade, so I had a little deja-vu moment reading that entry.
