My o My how the recruiting year changes

I've seen several people post on here that its not over until there's ink on the dotted line...Their right....a few months back the talk of all recruiting sites was Euche Echefu and we would be HUGE losers if he went somewhere else...Well he went to FSU and has FALLEN off the map...Not a single poster, then Jodie Meeks, Deon Thompson, and Derek Jasper have all slipped under the radar until now with 2/3 making the right decision. And whatever happened to the offer to Gary Johnson? He's not even listed as a UK recruit anymore. Now apparently the bottom has dropped out since we lost out on Thompson when there will probably be another 5 star recruit come aboard next spring when Thompsons newness has worn off like that of Michael Porters. It seems the pain of the loss of porters teamate oliver is now gone as well.....Why didn't UK ever get in on the Greg Oden sweepstakes? Another question.....how do all these sources get their info? coaches? recruits? who?

I don't see anybody claiming "the bottom has fallen out" over Deon.

If you look deep, it seems that Tubby cooled on DT after he flew out to California. To me, that says Tubby's got a strong indication from a kid (or two), and DT has taken the hint.

Well allow me to retort.

Do they speakEnglish in WHAT.

Echefu... blast from the past... Well I hope he likes football at F$U.

We had been in contact with Derrick for a long time. That wasnt a quick move.

UK tried to get in the Oden sweepstakes... He wasnt interested in us. Hey it happens.

Gary Johnson my man... is a JUNIOR in HS not a SENIOR> He is on our radar. He is very much involved with us.

There are 15 others also... to begin a search for 4-5 (depending on departures. at the forwards.

There are 12 guards we are looking at for 2-3 positions (depending on departures)

27... do you think we WILL get all 27.

Do you think we will get half>?

Some UK will not go after, some will decide they are a better fit elsewhere.

but out of the 25-30 or so (and the numbers I gave are appx based on info right now). we will end up with 5-7. so did we LOSE on 20... NO...maybe 3-4.

We lost on Deon big deal. Would he have been great here yes. Would Ralph Sampson had been great here?

Who would have thought Emeka Okafor, ranked 99th would be POTY one year also.

Things to think about when talking about recruiting.

As far as where I get my information.I havent told you.. I am GOD. I am omniscient.

I go to the shoe camps. I go to the AAU circuits and events (hoopfest, Blue Chip shootout, etc.) and build relationships with the COACHES> I cant ALWAYS talk with the recruit, so I do it with the COACHES first. Then THEY get me in with the player. It doesnt happen good everytime, but I have been successful enough. YEs, I missed Jason rich... (you always remind me of that... Jeff Drummond said it also, as did TC).

As far as my other media contacts. DO you think I am gonna tell you about them>? Heck no. I lose info at that point.

And why should I answer you. Oh well, I already have out respect for most of the posters here (except fat chinese man - Buddah).

I respect Florida Cracker (I love John, he is one of my friends. And I am darn glad to know him), I respect TravelinCat. (Kenn and I havent met but we have had phone conversations, and conversed on message boards). And Tana (poodoo)... she is my cousin. Again One I havent met yet( my fault), but we have something planned now for Hoop Fest at Marshall County.
