Well all was not lost when we made an early exit from the tourney as "host" school Alabama and highly regarded Georgia (at least in Dave Perno's mind) were eliminated today in SEC action at the Hoover Met.UGAcoach Perno has taken severalshots at UK in the press this past week.
He said after their game on Thursday that his team didn't really panic when UK jumped out to a 3-0 lead. He told his guys to put the ball in play and UK would do the rest.
Then last week after they took 2 out of 3 from us in Athens, he said that our pitching was no match for their offense. While this may be partly true,the mercy rule was not invoked on us this week. I guess they were no match for Vandy's offense.
All in all if we can't play for the tourney title, I am glad to see Vandy and Ole Miss playing on Sunday.
