Rondo not expected to show off jump shot at pre-draft camp

By Jerry Tipton

News flash: The NBA playoffs have reached the conference finals. Tayshaun Prince. Dwyane Wade. Dirk Nowitzki. Steve Nash.

That might come as news since being a Kentucky basketball fan doesn't necessarily translate into being a basketball fan.

Rick Reno has been making that point for years. Perhaps someday people will listen.

As general manager and CEO of Rupp Arena, Reno tried to tell promoters that their get-rich-quick schemes of bringing NBA exhibitions to Lexington would not be wildly popular.

As a lunatic avid fan of the NBA, I can't help but disagree with this article. The NBA would do well here, heck it even draws well when the Pacers use to come to Evansville..... A lot of KY players are in the NBA and that alone would draw..This is a sports town in a sports state and if it fails here, it will fail in most other places as well....I wish Rupp would bring some more NBA games here!
