Way to go cats!!!Does anyone know when the anouncement on the pairings will be for the Lexington Regional?

The remaining at-large teams, top-eight national seeds, first-round regional pairings and site assignments will be announced at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time, Monday, May 29, during a live, half-hour program on ESPN. The committee will set the entire 64-team bracket through both the super regionals and the first round of the Men's College World Series, and will not reseed the field after play begins. Selection of the eight super regional hosts will be announced on www.ncaasports.com, Monday, June 5 at approximately Midnight (ET).

UK will host baseball NCAA Tournament regional

Kentucky was selected Sunday to play host to a regional for the baseball NCAA Tournament.

It is the first time in school history that UK has been chosen to host a regional.

"We're very excited to be chosen as a host site," UK head coach John Cohen said in a press release issued by the school. "It's a great reward for our players and our fans and we're looking forward to having a great atmosphere at the ballpark all weekend."

The Wildcats were one of five Southeastern Conference teams among the 16 campuses hosting regionals, joining Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia and Mississippi.
The NCAA will unveil the bracket at 12:30 p.m. Monday on ESPN.

The four-team, double-elimination regional at Cliff Hagan Stadium begins on Friday, June 2. There are two games scheduled per day through Sunday with the possibility of a final game Monday, if necessary. Game times have not been announced and will be based on the possibility of television coverage.

"This weekend, I expect us to have a great crowd to really support not only our team, but also the NCAA Tournament in general," Cohen said. "Lexington is a great baseball town and I'm sure the baseball fans in the city will come out and provide a tremendous atmosphere for the entire weekend."

My dear if you have paid for those bball and football tickets you know we are getting a bargain here. Are you planning on going? We will have to get a Louisville/WCN caravan going.

well unfoutunatly no I do not pay for football or basketball tickets and no I won't be able to go..my daughter is playing softball in Fort Knox

With the $42 or $60 you're buying for all the games in the Regional (tournament) not just the UK games. When you break it down per game you're looking at something like $7-10 per game and that is what idividual game tickets will go for - if available. Not too expensive really.

I don't think that game is slated for televising, but if UK plays Notre Dame, I would be willing to bet that game would be on ESPN since ESPN is in love with Notre Dame. I sure got tired of hearing on Monday how ND should have been a regional site.
