It is with great sadness that I must report to my fellow Wildcats that I had a chance today to jump a Cardinal fan and let him pass on without a Wildcat greeting. I spotted this vile creature walking around Pearl Harbor Naval Station wearing a horrid looking red ballcap with a even uglier L right on it. This creature also was wearing a black T-Shirt with LouisVILE written on it. I was nice today and didn't even make sure this Cardinal knew that even in Hawaii the Wildcat Nation is watching them and controlling them. Man will the Wildcat Gods let me live this one down.

RP, I had a similar experience while vacationing at the Outer Banks a couple of weeks ago.

My wife and I were at the beach letting our dogs have some fun playing in the water and chasing seagulls. I could see this woman walking in our direction with this god awful red shirt with a big L in the middle. My dogs started going bonkers and barking at this lady like she was the devil. I guess all my hard work training my dogs to dislike any person wearing UL apparel has paid off.

Anyways, I had my UK visor on at the time so there were no verbal exchanges between us.....we just stared at one another like we could claw each others eyes out.

I have a job interview at U of L on tuesday. That's going to be hard to hold back on the snide remarks.

Ewwwwwwwww walking on the U of L campus. Heck I would wear a Patrick Sparks jersey right after the interview and go for a stroll around that Junior College campus.

I'm going to feign my tolerance for the sake of a pretty good job (plus, I can do my master's degree for free).

Not a bad deal for a little while in Cardinal Country.

Yea, well top this. My sister is moving to UL this weekend. I went out and broke my leg, just so I wouldn't have to help her move there.:lol:

You know what I hate to meet? It is a Louisville native who is a Louisville fan and is, even yet, a nice person. It is such a come-downto my well-established prejudice that they are all ogres. I know that the UK fans are all great people- quite naturally! Now that warms my heart!

Don't worry Sam. I live in the 'ville and meet very few nice L fans. :)

Let me rephrase that, they are nice until they notice ALL of our BLUE. Then, not so nice anymore. But then again, neither are we.....:P

Just kidding - I have some family members (married into, of course) that are ul fans and they are cool. We just stay away from each other on important game days. They understand now. Even went out and bought our soon-to-be little one a UK outfit! WOW.

You and Kenney are definitely two good Louisville people who support UK, Chic. It will be a real pleasure meeting that new fan one of these days.

I can relate to your pain. :cry:I now have 2 of my nephews with full scholarships to none other than... UofL!!:shock:While I can appreciate their generousity in furthering my nephews educations, it really pains me and hubby to see them in red. I guess I shuold be thankful they are not going to UT and wearing that ugly orange!!!!;)

And as long as cities need trash removal and lawn mower repair there will be openings for Little Brothers alumni.

RP. Did you noticea severe shortage of Port-o-can maintenance Tech's in Hawaii. That could explain your encounter.

Usually whenever I see a Louisville/Tennessee/Duke fan, I tend to stare at them for a bit (subconsciously, of course). I then get a weird feeling. When I leave, that feeling goes away. :P

Nappy Roots did a show at my school two months ago. There aren't a lot of us Kentuckians out in Carolina, so I wore my UK stuff. One of them (Skinny Deville?) was wearing a UL hat, so I chucked it at him and it hit his jeans. Since he didn't notice, I started screaming stuff about UL sucking, and when he looked down (I was in the front row) and saw my UK shirt, he gave me one of those tensed up face, head jerking back "Pssshhh" kind of looks.
