Goodness, I missed that. Guess they were doing what the men counterparts tried to do in Lexington on Jan. 2.

You cant honestly believe that UofL just wanted to fight against UK, can you? Lets be serious, emotions were high on both sides, and both teams equally contributed to those fights/technicals. Both teams came out being aggressive, and it led to what happened.

yep...since they are the ones that started it in the tunnel before the game ever started....look how many fouls have been called in Loserville's last 3 games......seeing a pattern here....

Theres a big difference between playing agressively and trying to start a fight. Yes, UofL does want to put an emphasis on agressive defensive play, but by no means does Pitino was this to translate into trash-talking, fighting, and injuries

not so sure about that..you don't think Pitino told his players to get in Cousins head..sure he did......2 of your players were running their mouths to Cousins and Bledsoe during warm-ups..hell they would not even go out on the floor when being introduced..what is up with that

I was there. I witnessed all the pre-game nonsense. Smith constantly straying to the UK side and "accidentally" bumping cousins. UL refusing to face UK during the national anthem. My team wasn't screaming they were bad m'fers in the tunnel.

I'm sure UK players were simply smiling and singing lulabys during all this and did nothing to provoke anyone. Both teams were doing the same thing.

For several years now, during some games UofL players havent left the huddle while being introduced. It started during Padgetts senior year. It was to emphasize that they are a "team" and not just a bunch of individuals.

Were you there? Think what you want. There were over 24,000 witnesses. Pitino did nothing to reign his players in when things got
out of hand. When Cal was trying to calm down Bledsoe, Sosa was not 10
feet away screaming and taunting the crowd. Pitino just watched. Clearly it was in his game plan to try and rile our freshmen. Didn't work.

I know many people who were at the game and I was told all this same stuff and more..Pitino probably encourged it

I was actually a little bit against what Cousins did to your boy, but now I hope next time Cousins pounds him even harder. Man, I can't believe Swopshire got up like he was going to do something. Cousins would have demolised that idiot, and the next time Delk talks his garbage to Bledsoe he better know Martial Arts because Bledsoe would obviously... well you know.:icon_mrgreen: UL needs to remember these words.... Don't start nothing there won't be nothing.

The thing is, Swop and Delk are two of the calmest, quietest players we have on our team. Sosa, Smith and Knowles talk alot and will throw some trash talk, but i never see emotion out of either one of the two you messed with. In fact, Swop's lack of emotion is something UofL fans get frustrated with

I was at the game and I saw all of the pre game garbage go down. Sosa and Delk were woofing it up and shoulder bumping Cousins trying to get under his skin. Cousins pushed Delk I think after the third shoulder bump he had enough of it. When Bledsoe came out Delk was still yelling stuff at him while Cal and the Ref were right there. Swoop wasn't involved in all of that but he did Knee Cousins in the head intentional or not it was enough to get a reaction.
It was clear that UL's players were told to try and get under the skin of Cousins and Bledsoe in order to get a reaction in the game. They got one and then UL fans want to complain about it. That is like poking a cobra with a two inch stick. He may not come at you on the first or second poke but eventually he will and who's fault it is that point the snake or your dumb self.
Anyway, doesn't matter both teams did silly stuff and none of it really effected the outcome of the game per say.

I was at the game as well and let me tell you that Reginald Delk went absolutely nuts at the beginning of that game. Word was it began in the tunnel before the tip.
Doesn't mean Cousins should have given Swopshire a shiver, but Delk was a friggin' nut and IMO it probably had everything to do with Pitino saying UK had a bunch of headcases and to get under their skin. Delk was only carrying out orders.

^ Well the one clear thing that came out of all this is..we know Reginald Delk is now or never will be the player that his uncle Tony was

I said a couple of times during the game that I couldn't believe that Tony didn't say something to him like tone it down a bit nephew. I assume that is because he wasn't on the same team but come on if I saw one of my nieces doing that I would have said something.
