6'6".. he's big for TE, plus he is from my HS, Nelson County. I wondered where he went!

One star per Scout. Interesting that we are not listed among the school as a likely choise. They list Fla St, UGa, UTn, UL and Va Tech. An interesting list for a recruit they rank at one star. Maybe they will up the ranking as they did with Goode.

No stars per Rivals.

I think this is a list of schoolsHE was interested in. I read that he had no offers other than UK's.

He had an offer from NC State and was getting heavy interest from Virginia (they produce solid TEs in the past). Coach said he was getting more interest from SEC schools but was a KY boy from the beginning.

There will be some switching of positions going on. You don't usually recruit two tight ends in a class when we already have a couple of young guys. Additionally, Stocker is a soft verbal to UT so does that mean we are done recruiting him?

A HS or prep school TE can project to any number of positions in college. Iowa hasdone well in several instancestaking a HS TE and turning him into a pro caliber OT. DEorLB are also positions where players may end up. 'Growing' into a DT or OG or C are other possibilities but not as common.

I have noticed that some of the prep school kids don't get stars or only get one star until the service gets a chance to view some tape or see them play. I would not put much stock in the star system for prepsters.

Graduated in '94, gone long before TC showed up but I keep up with the school via The Kentucky Standard online plus a couple my uncles used to be on the coaching staff. (HC Mark Brown @ John Hardin now)
