Where did this kid come from?
It says we haven't offered anything. Are we looking into him hard? Or is he just a fallback?

I was wondering where he came from as well.

Cal is in fact looking at him
sorry if that is obvious already,
there is an article about it on KentuckyInk but I'm not a paying member so I can't view it, but I'm certain it is about him
-new 2010 big man recruit- is the headliner (or close to that)

Sounds like a backup plan.
Not that Cal will land ONLY 5 star and highly regarded 4 star players....but a 3 star player (according to Scout) without much fanfare sounds like more of a backup plan than a priority. He might possibly be a late bloomer as well.
I'm betting that Kanter, Vargas and Cothron (and possibly others) rate higher on the priority list...but obviously Moses is somewhere there in the mix.

I really hope this is a backup plan.
I am sure there are plenty of 3 stars who went on to be great players, but the thought of replacing Patterson and Cousins with this guy would be really dissapointing.

Cal won't bring useless players to the team. A 3 star guy can make a terrific backup. The kind of guy who could blossom into something more in his Junior or Senior season.
With guys like that Cal will be looking at potential.

Look at the number of stars under his picture? Your education has failed you if you get 3-stars for this recruit who is 6-foot-9 and has a wing span at 7-foot-4!
NOTE: The picture keeps changing. Sometimes it shows 3-stars. But he is a 4-star recruit.

I don't think anyone's blind. You have to realize that at UK in the past 4-6 years, our former coaches took some project guys like this who were terrible. We are all just a little leary of these big guy projects. And, yes, he is regarded as a project at this point. BTW, when going to another team's board to post on a topic, you could stand to use a little more tact. You are a guest here. Treat us nice, we treat you nice.

Just because he is big, doesnt mean he's going to be a dominant big man. Hoya fans are delusional by thinking that every big guy is going to be a Roy Hibbert or Greg Monroe. Those guys dont come by very often. And take a lesson from Black Watch above me ^

Cal can't be interested in this guy. He has already committed to Georgetown. Maybe I got in on this late, I don't know. It just seems crazy that people are arguing about this guy when he has already committed to the Hoyas. NOT A BACK UP PLAN.

Yep, you got in a little late. Some of those comments about being a backup plan are two months old. But you're right that he has committed to Georgetown....not sure why this thread hasn't been closed yet. :shrug1:
Considering where we are now, though...that "backup plan" doesn't look so bad....
