We will probably oversign this year in anticipation of not all singees making it to fall camp. I bet we sign 28 or so.

He is my wish list. (With with a capital W) Each of these players is uncommitted and has KY as either aHigh or Medium interest school. (Ratings and stats per Rivals free recruiting board)

Michael Hartline, QB, 6’-6”. 179 lbs, 5.14/40, Canton OH, 3 Star, National Position Rank #21
Demetrius Goode, RB, 5’-9”, 185 lbs, 4.5/40, LaGrange GA, 4 Star, National Position Rank #22
Adrian Cannon, WR, 6’-2”, 189 lbs, 4.6/40, Pontiac MI, 3 Star, National Position Rank #51
Lance Lacoste, WR, 6’-3”, 190 lbs, 4.5/40, Chalmette LA, 2 Star, National Position Rank 100+
Keith Houston, WR, 6’-0”, 190 lbs, 4.53/40, Miami FL, 3 Star, National Position Rank #55
Jeffrey Adams, OL-T, 6’-6”, 331 lbs, 5.51/40, Cadiz KY, 3 Star, National Position Rank #41
Mike Berry, OL-G, 6’-4”, 296 lbs, 5.15/40, Nashville TN, 3 Star, National Position Rank #29
Micah Johnson, DE-LB-RB, 6’-2”, 267 lbs, 4.7/40, Ft Campbell KY, 4 Star, National Position Rank #2
Josh Minton, DE, 6’-2”, 241 lbs, 4.77/40, Somerset KY, 3 Star, National Position Rank#13
Corey Peters, DT, 6’-3”, 294 lbs, 5.1/40, Louisville KY, 3 Star, National Position Rank #25
Jamil Paris, DE, 6’-5”, 213 lbs, 4.7/40, Vero Beach FL, 3 Star, National Position Rank #14
Blake Garrettson, DT, 6’-3”, 277 lbs, 4.7/40, Morristown, TN, 3 Star, National Position Rank 100+
Bo Harris, LB, 6’-2”, 213 lbs, 4.63/40, Conyers GA, 3 Star, National Position Rank #23

Now here a a few that have given their verbals but I'dlove tosee reconsider for UK between now and February.

Justin Burke, Lexington KY, 3 Star QB, NC State Verbal
Cody Faulkner, Cicero IN, 3 Star OL, Indiana Verbal
Aundre Henderson, Louisville KY, 4 Star DT, Minnesota Verbal
Leonard Gordon, Ft Campbell KY, 3 Star DB, Notre Dame Verbal

If we could sign my wish list on top of the players who have already committed we would have the best class in the history of UK football, a for sure top 25 ranked class. If Brooks and Co. could sign this class I'd say Brooks for President, and any coach who followed him would be setwith a hell of a foundation.

I don't like to guess, but I am feelingwishful tonight with Powerball drawing coming up. So here is my list:

QBs x 2 Will Fidler, & Michael Hartline

RBs x 2 Moncell Allen, & Demetrius Goode

WRs x 3 Marcus Boswell, Tertavian Ingram, & Ryan Ellis

TEs x 2 Chris Goode, & T. C. Drake

OTs x 2 Ryan Palmer, & Justin Jefferies

OGs x 1CannonGaskin

DEs x 2 Micah Johnson, & Josh Minton

DTs x 3 Corey Peters, Trevis Hodges, & Nate Cole

OLBs x 3 Jamil Paris, Dekoda Watson, & Chris Cessna

ILBs x 1 Maurice Ginter

CBs x 3 Paul Warford, LaRay Foote, & Calvin Harrison

S x 3 Corey Goodson, Ashton Cobb, & Toddrick Verdell

That makes 27, so who is grayshirting? Drake was going to grayshirt last year, and Cessna is coming of knee surgery. But it is still early and this list can change. I am pleased to hear the QB out of GA is high on UK right now. Things look to be heating up, now that HS football season is coming to a close.

Per Rivals recruiting board. Harris is a 5-11, 190 lb, 4.5/40 playmaker. I watched six short recruiting videos of Harris on Rivals premium board today and I've got to say I'd take him in a heartbeat. His reactions to the pressure and his running/passingare top shelf. To paraphrase what someone said on that board. He is the kind of QB sometimes winds up at some smaller school, winds up kicking your butt and you are left wondering why didn't we get on this guy.

Where are the linemen?

It's clearly our biggest need - on BOTH sides of the ball ...

In my wishlist, I have 8 linemen. There is no need for more than that, maybe one or two more, more than likely JUCOsbut that is all. With the 10 we got last year, that gives us a good foundation for the next 4 years. I also forgot to put Craigman on my list so that gives us 28. So we need to find one more grayshirt candidate, my guess is Warford. But as we saw last year with some guys not getting qualified, we may not have to worry about grayshirting.

In fact I'd be quite happy if we could just land the Ky kids to go with what we now have committed (including Jeffries). This would be a successful class if we could now land Jeff Adams, Corey Peters, Josh Minton, and Micah Johnson.
