Bassett appeals dismissal of lawsuit

Claude Bassett has appealed a judge's dismissal of his lawsuit, which alleged fraud and civil conspiracy.

Bassett, a former assistant and recruiting coordinator at the University of Kentucky, sued the Kentucky Athletics Association, the NCAA and the Southeastern Conference in 2004, asking for $50 million in damages.

The LHL article said he filed the appeal himself, with no attorney listed. At this point, the only law firm that would represent him would be Dewey, Cheetum & Howe. .. .
