Local I75 landmark destroyed by lightning (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/15/king-of-kings-ohio-jesus_n_612360.html).
Readers' comments are pretty funny.

Local police have classified it as a domestic disturbance.
By far the best reader comment. :icon_lol:

Some locals called the statue "Touchdown Jesus", but many others called it "Big Butter Jesus" - a label coined by comedian Heywood Banks during a Cincy show.

Touchdown Jesus, I get. Big butter Jesus doesn't make anyu sense though.

If you've seen it while driving past, it's a pale yellow statue that looks like it's been carved from a giant cake of butter.
Heywood's produced a song that ties the statue into the butter theme.
The chorus:
Big butter Jesus
Sweet Cream Jesus
Oh, Country Fresh Jesus
Unsalted Jesus
Oh Promise Jesus
Imperial Jesus
Can’t Believe It’s Not Jesus
Oleo Lord.

I've driven past it a few times, but never thought it looked like butter. But, mostly I've driven by it at night.

Trust us, it looked like butter....albeit tacky, waste-of-money, gaudy butter. ;)
