Isn't it ironic that he is now in Boston with Telfair? Rondo can't run away from the competition now.

This is retarded.Rondo didn't go to UL b/c Pitino dropped the ball (which he's openely admitted to)... I remember watching Rondo own Telfair in the McdAA game...
Andwhy is it that UL fans hold onto to Telfair as if he ever donned that ugly ULuniform? That kid did nothing but make your coach look stupid.
Here are some good post gamenotes from that McdAA game
Rajon Rondo
6'2"/175 lbs.
Point Guard
14 points
Headed To: Kentucky
NBA ETA: 2008
Word: We expected so little from Rondo and got so much in return that for our money, he was the MVP of the game. He's a pure distributor with an amazing handle and an almost effortless grasp of the game.
Sebastian Telfair
6'0"/165 lbs.
Point Guard
2 points, 11 assists
Headed To: NBA
NBA ETA: [2004 (http://probasketball.about.com/library/weekly/bl_mockdraft_a.htm)
Word: You know if Telfair played in Bumblefruck, Idaho and his cousin was Joe Blizow, we wouldn't know a damn thing about him and he probably wouldn't be at the Mickey D's game, let alone jumping straight to the NBA. But that's how it is - Telfair lives in the media capital of the world which just so happened to be looking for someone to tab as the next LeBron James. He's not. Sebastian is a wonderful player, but he doesn't belong in the NBA at this point in his career and there's a dozen point guards in this Draft we'd want ahead of him. And the worst part is that Telfair is a winner, a true team guy who instinctively has that drive to do whatever is necessary to come out on top. Should he go to the NBA, that fire will drain from his lifeless limbs left to rot away on an NBA bench. He belongs in college, where he can play vs. better competition than the pedestrian PSL ranks he's used to

Telfair would have been asolid college player, I have to agree with some of the over-hype on him though. Had he been that great he would have never been traded to Boston in the first place.

Rondohas NEVER ran away from competition and he won't start now.
Telfair hasn't been settin' the world on fire since he made it to the NBA (after he refused the scholarship that Ricky-poo,AFTER choosing not to pursue Rondo, offered) so HE is the one who better be prepared to compete.

I totally agree. Way too over hyped, but is a good player... He would've done himself good in college under Pitino... could you've imagined the rivalry there between Rondo and Telfair... oh well...
