Tim Couch has again undergone surgery on his right shoulder and will not play football in 2006.
Whether the former Kentucky Wildcats star and No. 1 overall pick in the 1999 NFL Draft will ever play again in the NFL is uncertain at best.
According to the quarterback's older brother, Greg, Tim Couch recently went to see Dr. James Andrews, the Birmingham, Ala.-based orthopedic surgeon who previously operated on Couch's throwing arm/shoulder in February 2005.
"They found a bad tear in his rotator cuff," Greg Couch said. "It was not something they had repaired before. They don't know if it is something he did (recently) throwing the ball or if it was already there."
