The Cats' Pause 2006 Kentucky Football Yearbook was released this week and as every year I bought myself a copy tonight. How many of you have bought it already or are going to buy it. If you have it already, what do you think about it? I think it's a great read like every other year. On a side note, the Cats'Pause began publishing the football yearbooks in 1997 and I have every one except the 1998 yearbook. If anyone out there has it or anyone you know and is willing to sell it I would be grateful. You can PM me about itif you want. I'll buy one, no doubt. It will help me get through July with my Braves in a total downward spiral! The caption on the cover "Can Anyone Catch 22?" is one of the more clever ones I've seen. Good job, TCP.

Just wondering. Is this book similar to the official UK media guide? Does it have all the past history and records. Year by year results?

I always get the "Cats' Pause"yearbook.Started with the first edition, and I think I still have all of them.Heck of a lot better than some of the other mags out there, especially if you're a UK fan.

Corey, I, too, buy one every year and so enjoy reading it. I certainly look forward to getting the 2006 edition and reading it. When I do, I'm sure I'll be even more anxious for the season to begin. :)

LaCat, you ask if it is the same league as the Media Guide.
No, but it is a different kind of publication. The Media Guide says nothing about the State's top recruits for next February, and the Cat's Pause says little about UK History (usually). That said, I have neither Cats Pause, nor the media guide (which comes out like in August) but I like buying them both.

Just an FYI you can download the media guide from the UK athletics site before it is actually released.

As I referred to in my first post on this thread, I was looking for the Cats' Pause 1998 Kentucky Football Yearbook. I had been searching on eBay for the past month or so with no luck. So, I thought I would just try to contact the General Manager of the Cats' Pause, Darrell Bird, through e-mail and see if possibly they had any copies still at their warehouse. Not only did he reply back saying that they still had a couple copies left, he was going to send me one copy for free, no shipping or anything. Of course I accepted the offer and I received the yearbook in the mail. Just wanted to share how great of a man Darrell Bird is and now I'm excited that I have the entire collection now.

Great, Corey, and kudos to Darrell Bird! :)I buy it every year and used to keep all of them. One day, though, I FINALLY cleaned out the closet and threw my old ones away. If I only had more storage room, I would have kept them, though.
I finally found one today. I noticed that it has TWENTY-SIX personal profiles, or rather pieces about individual players. I especially love those and really look forward to reading this year's edition.
