PATHETIC is a team having a 16 point lead over UK (on their home floor)and then losing that lead in the second half and LOSE the game!!, only to whine and cry about the refs cheating over a supposed traveling violation that wouldn't have even been noticed were it not for television replays and Billy Packer railing about it over and over again. The sun hasn't come up on the day that UK basketball wants to be like Louisville. Why would the winningestcollege basketball program in the country want to be like..where are youguys on that list?..Last time I looked,I couldn't seeyou all onit you all were so far down..If anything, Louisville must have wanted to be like UK or they wouldn't have hired Pitino.

As I said before, OUR season is far from over. The odds of us winning out are huge considering 3 of our last 5 are at home and one of the road games in against Cincy. 2002 2nd round of NIT lose to Temple
2001 Didn't go to post season at ALL

Before the season, I told some of my UL friends (yes, I know, why have friends like that) that if UL lost this year, it would be a dissapointment. They all agreed and agree with me now. All you have to do is go back to your board from last weekends loss and see the kind of comments coming from YOUR fans. YOUR fans were trashing the football program, not ours.

SUK fans say Tubby won that Championship in 98, but mysteriously since he let go of Pitino's hand, he has been MIA for 7 years now. My question is, where has his magic gone?

Did Roy win with Matt's players? Tired argument. Pitino couldn't win with a more talented team in '97. UK fans that argue that Pitino isn't a great coach are just ignorant. UL fans that argue that about Tubby are the same. The landscape of college basketball has changed dramatically in the last ten years. Parity is at an all-time high. Does Tubby need to get another championship soon, probably (notice how I didn't say FF). He and Rick are on equal footing when it comes to coaching ability. The fact that UL thinks one FF returns them to elite status is comical. Are they on the way, absolutely. The answer to your question about where has the magic gone: nowhere as we have the most wins of any team this decade. Funny you should ask where the magic has gone. I believe JoAnne asks Rick the same thing on a nightly basis...his response, "Cleveland, Joanne, Cleveland."

2002 2nd round of NIT lose to Temple
2001 Didn't go to post season at ALL

Until last year you guys were losing in the first round on a regular basis if you went to a tournament at all. So don't come on here talking about recent history and basketball player. Because you don't have a leg to stand on.


This is the part that Noknees left out. There is your TRUTH that you love some much. These are FACTS. Ok C-USA has sent two teams to the final four since 2000 but if you add 200 then that would C-USA two and SEC one so your point is pretty much null. The fact remains that UL lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament every year except one the five previous years to the last. Also, UL didn't even make it to the tournament 2 of those years. Now that is pathetic. In fact for fan of a team that didn't even make it into the post season as recently as 2001 to talk smack about basketball isjust plain stupid.

In response to your question, those championships are relevant because we also had continued Final Four appearances/championships in the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. That's called CONSISTENCY.

Well since you all have not played one game in that conference yet then that means exactly NO teams have gone to the final four from the Big East since you guys have joined it. It kills me how you want to latch onto the conference and have yet to play ONE game in their basketball league.

You cant really claim a conference that you have yet to play a game in. That really isn't a hard point to get. If you haven't played against them then how to claim their accomplishments. Sorry Syracuse and UConn made it but that is still two. And you really cant add Louisville and Marq. because they were not in the Big East when they were in the final four. I'm not mad at either of you I just think it is funny that they are the best and not one game has been played yet.
