You go out on the field with the players, you can take pictures, get autographs or just shake hands and chat with them and coaches. After that they have a scrimmage/practice. They also pass out a gift bag to everyone that has posters, schedules and other things inside.
The Wildcat Refuge is set up outside for the kids before the gates open. We also tailgate several hours before the gates open. The QB Club has something going on, maybe Jim can give you some details about that.

Rick has covered the day well.
The couple of hours with the players and coachesis a real treat. Last year talking with Christian Johnson, his mom and dad with Micah in the background was real special.During this time they also have a raffle about every 15 minutes, free game tickets, season ticket packages, etc.
Plus it is usually a pretty good WildcatNation get together.
Just like POEKLM, I am also sooooooo looking forward to that day.

Mr. Poodoo has never agreed to taking me to a Fan Day (and, admittedly,we're talking about eight hours on the road without seeing a UK football game), although I have always badly wanted to attend one. :(I have really had to beg him to take me to the Blue-White scrimmages, which he has graciously done a few times, just for me (and I used to drive my boys to some others when both they andIwere younger). :)
Anyway, I have decided to start BEGGING right now. It's probably a lost cause, but keep your fingers crossed for me. I would LOVE to be there for the first WCN tailgate of the season! :)

Try it - you'll like it! :thumbup
Seriously, you're missing an excellent opportunity to meet and greet many UK fans, all the players (especially the new guys) and all the coaches (except for a couple- their autographlines are too long). Usually they play the highlights of the previous year on the jumbotrons as well. Gets the ole football juices flowing. :>

Sounds like I may have to check it out. I haven't ever been before so I think I'll have to try and make it out.

I've never been to Fan Day but would like to go this year. What time does it usually go off and is there usually a lot of fans there? I would like to meet some of the Nation also so I'll keep reading on here to find out where you guys/gals meet at.

I'd love to be there but it is a long way from Alabama to Lexington...if I'm not there in person I will certainly be there in spirit! I'm looking forward to finding my way to some of the tailgates anyway if not this one.

I have no doubt about that, Wildcat Rick. Too, any help will be appreciated! :)By the way, I have already started working on it, saying that going tomy first Fan Dayis what I would like for my anniversary present (as our anniversary is September the 4th, and Mr. Poodoo can't give me the win over Louisville that would make me happiest of all!).
Also, RV, I KNOW I'll like it IFONLY I get to try it! :)
Bleedbluelady, I wish you were going to be there. :(
