First of all, where is Boston now? I think it goes deeper than coaching. Pitino was meant to be a college coach. The pro player's ego is too big to have to play defense like that. That means they would have to exert energy.Defense is nonexistent in the NBA.



Nobody wanted Crum and nobody wants Pitino. We have the pros wanting to talk to Tubby every year.

There is a big gap in conference titles. You must have been rebuilding for a long time. But for those comments you make, you are trashing Coach Crum, who without him, you all would be nothing.

You have no basis for your comments. Everything you say is speculative. "You want Pitino back" or "Pitino could have won with those guys in 98." Bring some facts. Let's be honest, there are a few that want Pitino back, but there are tenfold more that don't. Pitino made a mistake leaving Kentucky. On December 2, 2004, here is the comments Pitino made to the Herald Leader.

"I made a big mistake in my life professionally. I thought I needed a new challenge, thought I needed this or that, and I never should have left UK, looking back on it. I didn't know it then, hindsight is great."

He made these comments less than a year ago. Think before you post such stupid things.

First of all I was speaking of the conference tournament that we won the previous year. Yes, it was played on our home floor but it has to be played somewhere. Secondly as I said before, 99% of you said you didn't want Morris back after he fled for the big bucks. A week later (once he wasn't drafted) 99% of you said you would accept him with open arms....that he's just a kid....that everybody makes mistakes....etc...etc...etc. Save it. Thirdly, only SUK fans would take Pitino's (#) comment completely out of context. When Pitino said he wishes he never had left uk, it because he had a dynasty going there. He threw it all away for the NBA which eventually turned out to be a big mistake. UK fans interpret that as "I wish I was at UK and not UofL". I never liked Pitino when he was at Uk, and he is just "tolerable" at UL. The man is a great recruiter and motivator though.

Tubby seems like a good man and pretty good at coaching defense, but he is not a "superstar".

Denny Crum was a coaching wonder who was just too laid back to go out and fight for recruits and his own reputation.He would rather go fishing.

First by Tim Brando speaking of how weak your non-conference schedule was being involved in a mediocre league. Then by the guys on ESPNU calling you pretenders. In an ESPN special, they ranked the top 10 powerhouses in college basketball.Louisville was nowhere to be found with UK at #1 and Kentucky Wesleyan at like #7.
