Mitch is down for the count. Best AD in the country.... HANDS DOWN. He hires one of the best recruiters in the game for baseball. A man that was responsible for getting Mississippi to the NCAA for MULTIPLE appearances. Then turns around and puts the final nail in the coffin of uk fan's hopes' of someday taking back the series. OUCH! How's that taste Grover? He will next year...no the year after ....no, he's FOR SURE gone the year after that!!! BEAT IT! How does another DECADE OF DOMINANCE sound to ya?How do you think recruiting will go now that kids know Petrino will be here another decade? Good.......or bad? Yeah, I'm pretty much goin out on a limb here and saying 4 and 5 stars will be the norm. We are officially BIG TIME BABY!!!! Don't cha LOVE IT?!?! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!

Never a better time to be a UofL fan. I literally almost feel like I am dreaming. If I am, I don't EVER want to wake up. I am in heaven...plain and simple. Don't worry blue people....it surely can't get any worse for you.....I wouldn't think so at least.

I don't know what you are talking about, I'm guessing a contract extension. I have been out of the loop for a couple of days.

But, contracts are made to be broken. Just like dreams.

That is what i expected to hear. it was Petrino's idea to make the contract that lengthy, but if that is what will help you sleep at night...knock yourself out. He isn't going ANYWHERE...and neither are we. Out with miami....in with Louisville.

I asked this question on the football board, but i will try here since some of you Uofl guys hang out over here. What college plans does Nick Petrino have? Could he go to UofL? Never seen him play myself.

No problem. I mean, does anyone think he will be there 10 years from now?

Yes, because Petrino has found out nobody wants the lying SOB. And I thought you were telling Nick Petrini to put down the crack pipe and go to rehab. That's more like it:lol:

So Cardinal nation and Knees and all of you folks, what gives with Nick Petrino? Will he play for dad?

ESPN says:

"That's staggering money for a program that has only made two January bowl appearances and has a stadium seating capacity of 42,000."

The kid is 5 foot nothing. He can barely see over his offensive line. Maybe will be part of UL football as a manager or something. He will start his senior season at Trinity on suspension for being caught this past year at Trinity with pot. The kid has bad news written all over him.

No, Nick Petrino will not play at UofL. He is only 5'8" I believe. He does have some mid major offers but nothing else. He would fit right in at uk.

Gee, that's funny...why did you stop there??? Oh maybe because the very next sentence was this: Athletic director Tom Jurich's (#) bold move to elevate Petrino among the highest-paid and most secure coaches in the country is Louisville's bid to cement its future as a major football program.

"We have high aspirations," Jurich told ESPN.com Thursday morning. "We want to win a national championship. ... Now that Jurich has signed his coach to a long-term deal, he wants to "move quick" on stadium expansion. He envisions bulking up Papa John's Cardinal Stadium to 63,600 seats, with an additional 45 luxury suites.

catfan, you are one bitter momma. I've never seen you post so much in one day. thank you for letting me know that this is eating you up inside. :thumbupKNEEL BEFORE THE POWERHOUSE THAT IS THE CARDINAL!!!

2-9 in Football?
9 years, and counting without a Final Four in basketball?
No Thanks.

As CN just pointed out...we strive for just the OPPOSITE....and usually achieve it. Thanks but we enjoy January Bowl games and Final Fours.

Seriously, we just gave our football coach an extention for a decade. Will UK do the same for Brooks? You've had fans try, unsuccessfully, to buy a full page ad, begging your AD to fire your basketball coach. Don't be surprised to see Pitinosign an extention soon. Does it look like we want to be you?

In all seriousness...I dont know that Brooks would be around in 10 years...and as far as basketball goes, yeah I think you want to be us. We at least make the tourny every year.

Hey, more power to ya.I'm not begrudging you guysbeing happy that your coach got an extension. Looking at it from your perspective, I can understand it perfectly. No problem with that at all. But,regardless of what someone else would or wouldn't have done, I'm just saying the dig at our AD wasn't necessary, that's all.
