“I want to assure everyone associated with Auburn that upon completion of the investigation we will deal with this issue as we have dealt with other challenges.........." Auburn University Interim President Ed Richardson

Does that sounded so familiar, We hear it every year from UT.....

Can you say Ohio State? I heard the same, almost verbatim, responses when Sports Illustrated lit up OSU with the story about Andy Katzenmoyer, a barely functional illiterate who remained eligible by acing Aid’s Awareness, Golf and so on.

Most recently, I heard it again with the Maurice Clarrett situation. Seems “Mo” was able to remain eligible due to the most part by taking classes instructed by “football friendly” professors. Mo even had a grade changed without the T.A.’ approval or knowledge shortly before the NC game against Miami. The grade change was orchestrated by the Director of the OSU African American Studies Director, known locally as “Doc Jock”.

Remarkably, Clarrett remained technically ineligible for NC game, however OSU never entertained the thought of returning the NC trophy.

For some reason Rick, I have a difficult time reading many of your posts lately and it has nothing to do with the content.

Perhaps it is some site conspiracy against UL fan posters? ;)

Get over it Rick. OSU won the NC outright. Deal with it and quit your crying. Maybe L'vlle will be able to win their league one of these years. Beat a top 25 team firstand then start running smack about OSU.

I'm sure all of the L'vlle players are too busy in bible study to get any type of preferential treatment. Get over it.

Cincy, actually it’s the hypocrisy of the NC2A that bothers me not necessarily Ohio State. Notre Dame, Ohio State and other “untouchable” football programs get a free ticket while other programs are severely reprimanded under nearly identical situations-circumstances.

Virtually everyone in Columbus (those that follow football anyway) were aware that Mo was driving a half dozen different cars- suv’s and that if you wanted an autograph just show up at Columbus Gold Gentleman’s Club or The All Night Pure Platinum Club. It was just that brazen.

To be fair admittedly as I stated above, OSU is not alone in the Untouchable Club, but a member nonetheless.

Cincy, check out Herby on 1460 about 4:45 today.

Rick

See ya.

OSU won it playing an admittedly inelgible player, who just happened to make two HUGE plays in the closing minutes. Something is not right.

Fine - you can have your trophy back, no one will ever forget who won the game.
