Try again UK is a Tier 1 University and Georgia Tech is a Tier 2 the reason Thad went to GT is because that is where he wanted to go.

That's funny, when I click on US new reports, they have Georgia Tech at #37 Nationally a high tier 1. They have UK at #120 a low tier 1. Can I borrow your blue blockers so i can see what you do?

First blue blockers makes no sense. Secondly I may not have seen GT on the listbut can I borrow your glasses because I don't see University of Louisville on that list. Oh yea thats right they aren't on it. If you are Tier four university you should not even be bring up academics. I think their might be some Community Colleges ranked higher than UL.

"Georgia Tech has a five-star rating," Young said. "Kentucky and Arkansas are three- or four-star schools."

Exactly. UK is a four star, Arkansas is a three. UL is, well, UL is UL. Right in front of JCCC and right behind LCC. Georgia Tech is a great school, no doubt about that. It's comical though considering he's more than likely a one and done. Is he really going to go back and get his degree?

Thanks for keeping up on our recruiting. The envy never ends.;)

Envy? or comedy? It seems to me an awful lot of Uk fans were saying last year the class was 'weak" and they were going to "clean our clock" this year. Now, it appears many Uk fans are once again saying ' wait until next year".

Heck, you all may out recruit us next year, I think we may be limited to one scholly next season. It will probably go to Nolan Smith, another five star recruit for Ricky. Who are UK's hot prospects. ( please do not say Mayo and Walker it ain't happening)

Gani Lawal and Gary Johnson to name two.

And look, I'm sure we have more invested in UK recruiting than you do. If UK's recruits flounder, then what's it to you? And I follow recruiting pretty closely, and I follow UK basketball VERY closely, and Ibelieve we got a good class. Was it as good as we'd hoped? Absolutely not. But we got tangled up with UNC in a couple of battles, and it's tough to recruit against the national champs. (Especially when that national champ covets power forwards as weapons in their delayed break.)

But the class was in no way weak, and those saying "Wait until next year" frankly don't know what in the hell they're talking about. We got one stud (Jasper), and two guys whowill be contributorsby their sophomore years. If you're looking at rankings, then you can use a guy like Ramel Bradley as a good reference here. Bradley was in the 90-100 range according to Rivals, but he had a very good freshman season and would start for every other team in the SEC except Alabama this year. Well, Rivals lists the two guards we got this year about sixty spots ahead of Ramel.

Was it the class I personally wanted? No. But it was still a solid effort by Tubby and the staff.

And also, you know, the rankings are subjective and do not tell the whole story about a kid: his heart, his head, how he'll mature his senior year.

And Ville Fan better believe that to be true, because you all are gonna have a point guard who was rated by Rivals as the 18th overall point last yearstarting for you.

Jonesey,

Would you please stop being RATIONAL! You are ruining my chances for witty replies.

P.S. Rivals is the worst ranking service in my book for basketball prospects. They make Clark Francis look intelligent and partially pyschic.

Your chances for witty replies huh? I guess everybody that posts on here does that because I haven't seen one witty reply. I have seen a couple stupid and fact less ones but I have yet to see Witty out of you.

I'm a UK alum, but no way in hell is UK a better school than Tech. That said, for a U of L fan to talk about academics, well, I just don't know what to say.

I didn't like how the kids dad came out and said his son wouldonly go to a school with a black coach...The kid did try to cover for the idiot, but could you imagine a white kids dad making a remark like that..?

I can imagine the outrage that would follow that kind of statement, yeah.

That's a pretty stupid thing to say to the media. THere was an article in Sports Illustrated about a football coach who made an even more stupid comment. Has anyone read it?
