I had posted on this young man in the past but wanted to post again.
As I understand it, Darius was the only player from Kentucky at the recent ADCD Camp in Indianapolis. (It may be another camp or location but the point is the same.)
His teammates were Bill Walker and O.J. Mayo so he can't be too bad. (I'm not suggesting he is that good!) He is, however, 6'6" tall and is still growing and will only be a junior this coming season.
He is also a terrific young man from an equally terrific family.
I believe he already has an offer from Xavier but, if he is the best player in Kentucky as a junior, why is UK not all over him?As far as I know, UK has shown limited interest. (Remember, we offered Williams as a junior and Porter as a junior so I'm not suggesting we offer him.0
What I am suggesting is an all-out effort to get in this kids living room and get to know him and his parents--in case he turns out to be a great player which is entirely possible. He is VERY athletic, can handle the ball, pass it, shoot it with range and jumps very, very well.
I will admit to some concern because of the Chris Lofton situation. Miller plays for Mason County--as did Lofton--and I don't want to see another great player get away--much less to a rival--and this kid could turn out to be very, very good!
For those outside of Kentucky, Mason County (Maysvillle) is only 60 miles from Lexington so there is no excuse for the UK staff not to get in this young mans living room---now and many times in the next two years.
