BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Kentucky women's Coach Mickie DeMoss did not embrace the Southeastern Conference Media Day vote that predicted a ninth-place finish for her team this season.

"I was a little disappointed by it," she said yesterday. "But, you know, that's just locker-room material."

DeMoss said she would have voted her team as high as fifth.

Is this laughable, or what????? There is no way KY will finish lower than 6th, in my opinion!

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a lot about UK's women's basketball team except that their coach is a class act. But I do know Coach DeMoss is putting the right pieces in place to make UK a great team in women's basketball again. She continues to bring in the good recruits and I think that she will have this team on the top or at least competing for a top spot in the SEC and Nation very soon. Thanks Coach DeMoss.

Respect comes from wins. Just win baby. As in any sport or game, if winning doesn't matter, why do they keep score?
