Found this on Yoco. Can't think of anyone else that the article could be referring to.

(At Big East media day), Rutgers and Seton Hall were picked 14th and 15th, which was probably a little high for them. Mostly, the conversations on those programs centered on who will be coaching there next season, not this year. It's unreal how many coaching candidates are lining up for Louis Orr's job, including one Final Four coach with New York ties who had his "people" reach out to a prominent Seton Hall booster to let him know he's interested.

Another coach, now working in television, has contacted some top New York and New Jersey high school coaches about being part of his potential staff at the Hall. Some business, coaching. It is some vulture, some business.

Interesting...

Interesting indeed. I did a little research and couldn't really see who else they would be talking about. I've got noother candidate except Pitino.

IT's TUBBY!

Oh, that's right, it did say final four coach didn't it? They probably mean somebody that has been to the final four in the past decade don't they? Never mind.

That looks like a 4 year old typed it. Is that a message board or what? Very generic.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Pitino likes it here. He won't diss US for ANYBODY like he did you. Deal with it. We are the LOUISVILLE CARDINALS!!!

I don't really believe this, either.

The only reason it may be credible is that Pitino's track record shows that he loves rebuilding jobs. He may be the greatest coach in the history of American basketball at any level at taking a team and resurrecting it. His style, his personality, his ability to recruit - all translate into genius rebuilding skills. And Seton Hall is very, very low right now - probably lower than UofL five years ago.

As a basketball coach, however, more particularly as an X's and O's man, he does not inhabit the same planet as Tubby Smith.

Keep telling yourself that Pitino won't leave the UL Cardinals but I wouldn't bet the city on it. With Pitino you have no idea what is on his mind. Frankly he is UL's patron saint of basketball and if he went to Seton Hall or some other college the Card fans would be totally devestated and would probably try to get Denny back.:D:P
