Hartline said he was suprised that his visit went so well and almost pulled the trigger before he left. Said it's mostly down to UK and Illinois and will likely announce after his visit to Illinois. Kinda sounded like he was waiting as a courtesy to the Illinois staff.
As Wayne and Garth would say
"EXCELLENT"!

If there is one thing Ron Zook does well, it's recruit. Illinois getting the last visit scares me. They do have a big time QB commit already though, so that might affect him.

How would you compare Hartline and Fidler?
Thanks!

How can we get both Hartline and Fidler. We already have Woodson, Pulley, and Joe Joe as well. Illinois is terrible we have to beat them out!

Because we need two good QBs in this class. Our QB depth is very poor. Brown hasn't looked good since arriving and remains a huge question mark. Pulley has theskill to playanother positon if necessitated by his inability to climb thedepth chart behind center.
Both are considered pro-style quaterbacks. Hartline's footwork seems to be a strength...while Fidler appears to need some work in that area. Both have nice arms...Fidler's maybe just a little stronger at this point.

We almost 'have to' sign two. We have Woodson but he will be a Junior and we reallydon't have muchbehind him. Jo Jo, who will be a Soph, had a shoulder injury when he got here that has remained a problem necessitating a position change for him. Curtis, who will be a Soph also, has shown athletic ability but the question is can he progress into a legitimate QB.Basically we have one and a half QB's returning and you need to have four if possible so I'm hoping we sign three, those being Fidler, Hartline and Harris.

IMO Brown is totally out of the QB picture adn most teams like to have at least 3 deep QBs that they feel could carry on the game/season if necessary. We MAY have one right now. Typically when you sign two, you hope to get one that will make it at QB.
My concern about this position is that Woodson has regressed this season as he's gained lots of hard playing time. I'm not sure he has the heart to continue to take the poundings he's gotten---and Lord knows it will only get worse as we take on the November schedule---which would be the toughest in the NCAA if UT hadn't faltered so badly. Whether he can bounce back with renewed confidence and vigor is questionable in my mind.
