Strangely, our running game is now better than our passing game. As much as I loved Mummeball, I love success even more.
So ...
How about lining Micah up at Fullback and pounding it for awhile? Should make Andre's life easier, too ...

Micah can play where Micah wants to play he's that good.

Personally I think he's best at DE. He is talented enough to play just about anywhere but DE or one of the LB positions is where he needs to be to help the UK Team out the most.

The Defense needs much more help than the running game.

If Micah is wearing Kentucky across his chest, next season, I will be happy.

I think Micah needs to play wherever Micah can help us, if that means he plays both sides of the ball, then he should. it wouldn't be the first time a player has done that. I could envision him being a full-time Linebacker or DE and a short yardage type power fullback as well. its not like he has to be on the field on offense for every down, just those few situations that call for it.

If we are using a guy with this kind of ability as a "blocker" with the occaisonal touch, it will be worst use of a player since Couch and Lorenzen ran option

If the only way you can get him here is for him to start out as a RB, so be it. However, I pray he comes around to the thinking that he could have a Julius Peppers like career at DE.

It's something I did on the PS/2. I put a great big DE type ATH at FB and I didn't have to worry on 3rd and 1 ever again.

We only play a FB 1 in 3/4 plays. If he's as good as I hear, seems like a waste - unless he's playing full-time D also.

If we had a dominate fullback like Michael Bush (Lou.) we could be deadly. When you have a monster like that in the backfield, pounding away for solid short yardage it opens the game up immensely... not that you didn't know that already. I think it would be a great idea to get a beast in our backfield. We might also have a better a chance of signing him if we let him run the ball. I haven't personally seen any footage of him playing, but if he is as athletic as his stats and bio suggest... it would be awesome to have a "redzone"ground threat... which we really don't have.

Maurice Grinter is supposed to be one of those Beast type running backs. While I would love to see Johnson on the offensive side of the ball, we desparately need a true high Caliber, SEC quality defensive lineman or linebacker to help get us over the hump. Defense is our most pressing need and where Johnson should concentrate his efforts. If he sees spot duty on offense in special situations, thats great, but I think we should first try to mold Grinter into that type of back you seek.

Man, if we can sign everybody we have verbals from, we could be tough next year. (With Johnson on D)
Guys - this ain't basketball. We're not going to be better next year simply because we sign a good class. We're going to be better because the 50 or so Freshmen and Sophomores with talent are going to be Juniors and Seniors giving us experienced depth. We should have just a handful of Frosh that actually see the field next year and that's a good thing.
