The first couple of signing days will be most telling for UK. We have several out of state guys who don't have offers from the schools that they would most prefer to go to. But they've verballed to UK and of course this is about as binding as a promise to remain pure until you're 21. If some of these who have verballed should start to stall on signing, this would be a bad sign. So we must hope/expect that the top commits will sign early.

The way I been seeing information on TV about signing day and etc, it seem like it was within the next few weeks or something. That's still a few months off. A lot can happen between now and then.

I'm nota recruiting expert, but I think Feb is the late signing period and there is an early signing period in mid-November.

that would make sense with all the buzz I'm seeing on FSN about signing day and etc.

There is only one signing period in football and it always begins the first Wednesday in February.

RV is right on the money. Basketball has an early and late signing period, football just has one in Feb.

That never made any sense to me. In basketball you can only sign 2 or 3 players and they need two times a year to do it. In football you can sign about 25 and you can only do it starting in February. Football season is almost three months over by that time.
Oh well, there are a lot of things in life I just don't understand but I keep on trucking. :dude:

Same thoughts here, Florida Cracker. Too, I think an early signing period would be beneficial to UK. I have heard UK coaches make the same comment.

I thought they had changed the rules to allow for a early signing period.
